At we are committed to minimise the impact that our activities have on the environment and our community. We have introduced sustainable practices and policies and we will work toward responsible stewardship of valuable resources. With the support of you, our business partners, will strive for environmental sustainability and environmental integrity.
Listed below are some of the small steps we have taken to reduce our environmental impact
We have reduced paper by using email and online media communications for our correspondence and marketing
We only use recycled paper or paper from sustainable sources and we double side print where practicably possible
We use vegetable based inks on our printed marketing material and we recycle old ink cartridges
We actively seek to reduced the raw materials we use in the office environment
We reuse whatever we can in our office - paper, envelopes, paper clips, and furniture
We always recycle waste including paper, cardboard, metal and plastic
Our electricity is supplied through Ecotricity, a green energy source
We use low energy efficient light bulbs where we can
We take into account environmental aspects when buying goods or services in our supply chain
Of course as we have said these are only small steps, so we always welcome your comments and suggestions on how we can improve and move forward.
To further conserve our biodiversity and natural landscapes inevitably green have nominated the Kent Wildlife Trust as our charity of the year.
The Kent Wildlife Trust conserves and protects important urban, rural and coastal wildlife habitats and acts in response to planning and development issues. Supporting the work of this valuable resource delivers intergenerational equality. Without such support, quite simply the Kent Wildlife Trust would not be able to function. |
